Beyonce performed at SoFi in LA on September 4, aka BeyDay, aka her birthday. It is soooo Virgo to have the biggest, most star-studded birthday party (with a dress code) under the guise of work. She is my inspiration.
Diana Ross (and the 60k+ attendees) sang “Happy Birthday” to Beyonce. The crew wore little silver birthday hats. Kendrick and Beyonce performed “America Has a Problem.” Bey gave a beautiful speech, and her dancers surprised her with flowers and cake. Fans brought balloons that made her emotional. I’m not crying! Oh, and Blue Ivy danced. When does school start??

It looked so fun. And not to get all East Coast about it, but it is so disappointing that New York doesn’t have a SoFi-esque stadium (I get it, where would it go?). New York-based pop stars DESERVE to have the biggest shows of their lives at HOME. Where they LIVE (ok, Bey and Jay did buy the most expensive house in California earlier this year, so maybe they’re not New Yorkers anymore). But I get it. I wouldn’t want to celebrate my birthday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
